The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach

The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach opened December 31, 2003 as Miami's newest oceanfront hotel and is a complete restoration of an original 1953 Morris Lapidus-designed landmark in the city's historic Art Deco district. The oceanfront hotel is ideally situated steps away from Lincoln Road , a thriving 10-block pedestrian esplanade with myriad dining, shopping, entertainment and nightlife options.

Its centerpieces include:

•  The Ritz-Carlton Spa with La Maison de Beauté Carita – the only spa of its kind outside of Paris and the largest and only Mobil Four-Star spa on Miami Beach.

•  The world's only Tanning Butler who strolls the pool and beach from noon to 4 p.m. (peak tanning hours) Friday through Sunday offering a range of SPF products and applies them at sunbathers' requests to hard-to-reach back and shoulder areas.

•  An exclusive VIP level within the hotel, for guests seeking an extra level of grandeur, comfort and privacy, the resort offers the exclusive Club Level, on floors nine and ten.  Guestrooms on the Club Level include use of a spacious lounge which offers private check-in and concierge services, wireless Internet access, panoramic views of Miami Beach , five food and beverage presentations and champagne served throughout the day.

•  A multi-million dollar Latin American art collection

•  Weekly synchronized swimming performances every Saturday at 5 p.m.

•  The Lapidus Lounge, one of only three jazz clubs on Miami Beach , features live music six nights a week with singer and saxophonist George Butts, who performs in Los Angeles and Las Vegas and has played alongside George Bensen.  Performance Schedule: Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 8 p.m. to 1 a.m.; Friday and Saturday, 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.

•  The DiLido Beach Club – the only oceanfront restaurant on South Beach serving Mediterranean cuisine.

•  Valet parking is complimentary when visiting any of the restaurants and lounges.
